Late 2018, Women in Energy began hosting Webinar Wednesdays.  Each webinar begins at 12:15 pm and lasts for 30-45 minutes.  So grab your lunch, join fellow members and tune into one of our webinars.  All our webinars are presented by our Corporate and Individual members and other industry experts.

“How Current is Your Employee Handbook?”

An employee handbook can be an incredibly valuable to a company if practical and implemented properly. An employee handbook is an opportunity for an employer to welcome employees, educate its workforce about company standards and procedures, and outline prohibited conduct. An employee handbook also provides an employer with certain legal protections. This program will review the policies a company must include, might include, and should never include in its employee handbook. It will also review the policies that should be updated and drafting considerations.

Learning from our members that they were interested in learning more about the environment, the first name that came to mind was Bill Spohn.  Bill is smart, a great listener and speaks about efficiency with a passion and he speaks in a language we can all understand.

Bill Spohn is CEO and co-owner of TruTech Tools, LTD. He holds BSME and MSME degrees from the University of Rochester and is a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania. Over the last 25 years, Bill has built his career on creating, designing, and marketing a wide array of test and measurement products that work for technicians in the field. Bill is all about Science – Comfort, health and energy efficiency.

Bill will share his personal perspective on energy efficiency   – After 30 years of learning, teaching and advising on how to make measurements for great HVAC and building performance, Marilyn and Bill are putting their money where Bill’s mouth is as they build a new home in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
