New to Remote Work? Communication is Key!
Apr 8 @ 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm

About the webinar:

For many of you out there, it is happening overnight.  With no time to plan or prepare, it means you have even less time to think about how to be successful working from home. This can create even more fear and anxiety around being effective and productive.

Working with clients who have transitioned to remote work, and those who are experienced remote workers looking to enhance their exposure have shared the same core fundamental with me.  Communication is key.  A broad topic, communication, so we will break it down into those areas which will provide you the most impact while you are transitioning to a new normal of working from home. Spoiler alert, these are great practices to embrace, regardless of your work environment!

Join this webinar and learn tips and tricks to be an effective communicator including:

  • Getting the response you want
  • Identifying what channels work best
  • Avoiding miscommunications and misinterpretations
  • Learning how to not make it about you

Communication is a critical part of our day-to-day with our employees, teammates and our managers/leaders.  Build your skills to be an effective communicator so that you can spend more time getting the job done.

“RFP (Request for Proposals) and Auctions in Energy.”
Apr 29 @ 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm

We thought about postponing this webinar until fall, but we understand from the presenter that their company has had calls regarding auctions and RFP’s since Covid-19.

Listeners will learn about best practices of the RFP participation, what questions to ask and what to look out for. There will be  some examples of RFPs conducted in Energy, and a guide of how to conduct an RFP. We will discuss some examples of auctions in Energy, how they are different from RFPs and how to participate in an auction.

This is the first webinar we have done on this topic.  We would appreciate your feedback after the webinar.

Working from home? What’s next?
May 6 @ 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm

About the presentation:

The transition to remote working happened overnight for the retail propane and energy industry. Like so many others out there, processes, procedures and technology were having to get figured out on the fly. Just as you have settled into a routine of the “new normal” the time is coming to get back to the office.

Transitioning back to a new normal will not be as easy as it sounds. Employees working from home, altered work arrangements for service techs and changed customer interactions are just a few of the things that changed overnight. All will have an impact on employee morale, workplace culture and may cause your branch to innovate and change in order to remain competitive.

As owners and managers look to transition their teams from remote work back “what it used to be”, join this session to learn tools to help you:

  • Transition into a new normal
  • Work through employees wanting more flexibility to work from home
  • Identify the impacts on employees who are eager to return
  • Consider changes for those employees who wish to continue to work from home

Attend this session and walk away more prepared to lead through transition into a new normal!!

Part II: Living Inside Your Theories
Jan 6 @ 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm

Last January, the Spohn’s presented a webinar for us, Residential Energy Efficiency – Putting Theories into Practice. Since that time, they have completed the construction of their home and have moved in.

During this conversation with Bill and Marilyn, we will learn what went into their journey and just some of the highlights of what has lead them to their dream home.

You may recall, that after 30 years of learning, teaching and advising on how to make measurements for great HVAC and building performance, Marilyn and Bill put their money into building a new home in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Learn about their journey and the hundreds of decisions and tens of frustrations they encountered as they built their “forever home” with concepts “stolen from the future”.
