CRANFORD, NJ – November, 15 2024 – Women in Energy recently announced Deena, Doyle will be the next Executive Director of Women in Energy.
Beth Tocco, President of Women in Energy commented, “Deena comes to us with an extensive background not only in project and team management but also from within the energy industry. Deena is a self-driven, highly organized, and resolute individual that has proven she has what it takes to assist this organization through the next chapter.”
A member of Women In Energy 6+ years, Deena was inspired by our Mission of Empowering Women Working in the Energy Industry. A quote from Deena, “As I look around my life and my experience, I was always trying to walk uphill in mud and make headway for me in industries where success did not seem to equal my gender and my experiences. Once I met women who were driving the same change, I became inspired to do more, own who I was, mentor others, and truly be authentically me.”
When asked about what other activities Deena has, she responded, “During the journey to find myself, I also found fitness and discovered my love for movement. I married my love of fitness with coaching by becoming a CrossFit L1 coach, Gymnastics certification, Adaptive Athletes coach and a NASM certified nutrition coach. Every day I choose to move and make fitness a part of my day. Running works my heart muscle and weights help me with discipline, resiliency and aging gracefully. I have run a few half marathons, competed in fitness competitions, but also met my best friends in the fitness space. These friends are leaders, mentors, athletes and continue to push me to be a better person.”
“Taking over the role of Executive Director is a huge challenge that I am up for! It will take the support of all our members, committees, board members, mentors, and mentees to continue to drive the passion and energy that Judy Garber captured by creating such a powerful organization. I am grateful to help facilitate that and continue to drive diversity, leverage experiences, and broaden the definition of energy while continuing to empower, network, educate, and create lifelong relationships.”
Please welcome Deena Doyle as our second Executive Director effective January 1, 2025.
