Just Some of the Articles Shared During the Pandemic

With more quiet time (no, I don’t have to monitor the education of young children) to research stories online, some are so relevant and worth adding to our blog.  I hope you enjoy them!

One site that has been offering many stories is The National Women’s History Museum.  A couple of times a week, they send out newsletters that have amazing stories. Knowing 2020 is the 100th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage. We plan to do something special this year to recognize those women who have been involved in the Energy Field for the past 100 years. While researching dates and names, I came across this interesting story of How Women Won the Vote. It is a great read and worth your time.  Another interesting article found in the National Women’s History Museum news has to do with the history of the U.S. Coastguard and how they opened up opportunities for women to join in 1942 – SPAR’s .
Visiting the museum located in Arlington, Va or when the Coast Guard build’s their museum in New London, CT we just might have to plan a special event at their locations.
