Woman of the Year

2024 Woman of the Year

Annually we strive to recognize the amazing women thriving and making a difference in the energy industry.  The Woman of the Year Award recognizes one woman that is active in the Energy Industry and local community who has been called out for their professional achievements and have the respect of their industry peers.

Our 2024 award winner was nominated by Stephenie McHugh.  Our winner Jacqueline (Jackie) Hart, V.P., Hart Home Comfort, Oakdale, NY, was unable to attend our conference but she will recognized early October.

Stephenie shared with us that Jackie is “fiercely dedicated” to her employees.  She further points out that some of her strongest attributes are her negotiation, communication and managements skills.  “Jackie is always coordinating a special themed event for the employees, picnics and Team Time.  Most of all, it comes from Jackie’s big heart.”

Jackie has been a leader in the Energy Industry for many years – leading the charge for the younger generation of women.  She serves on our Industry Outreach Committee.  She has spent time leading the Oil Heat of Long Island’s Board serving as President, also the New York State Energy Coalition and most recently joined the Executive Board of NORA (National Oilheat Research Alliance).

She shares, “I am most proud of carrying on the legacy my father started in 1978.  Together we have acquired over 10 companies in as many years.  And yes, I am passionate about what I do.”

Jackie graduated from Hofstra University with a degree in Psychology and was a School Counselor before coming back to their family business.
