Women in Energy is excited to announce our 2020 Keynote Speaker to be Marion Blumenthal Lazan. Marion and her family survived six-and-a-half years in 
Holocaust prisons, including Westerbork in Holland and the notorious Bergen-Belsen in the heart of Nazi Germany – the concentration camp in which Anne Frank was imprisoned until her death. Lazan drew on these experiences for her memoir Four Perfect Pebbles – whose title comes from the search for pebbles which offered a sense of purpose and a sense of hope for her and her older brother during the darkest days of their imprisonment. In addition to her memoir, she co-authored with children’s book author Lila Perl and has toured widely for a quarter-century discussing her Holocaust experiences.
